This crochet skull beanie pattern was something that kinda happened last minute. I was creating a beanie for a friend’s birthday present and I loved the way it turned out! I originally had the idea to make these types of beanies for a while and never really had the opportunity or the time to, and after charting the color changes out on Stitch Fiddle I realized how easy it was!
As I made a few more of these skull beanies I wrote the pattern down as I went, and it’s ready to share with you! It’s the perfect beanie for this time of year, with Halloween (and the cold) right around the corner.
This beanie is kind of worked in the round, but you turn at the end of each round. This makes changing colors so much easier (with a lot less ends to weave in!) and it’s not too bad once you get in the habit of doing it.
If you’re fairly new to crochet and don’t know how to change colors, don’t sweat it! I’ve got an article over here that explains how to change colors for these types of patterns.
