Thick and Quick Team Spirit Beanie Pattern

Pinnable image for the Team Spirit Thick and Quick Crochet Beanie

I love this beanie because it’s super quick to work up and nice and thick (hence the name lol). You use three strands of yarn and a super big hook for this hat, and can add a pom pom on top if you wish (I do on all of my team beanies, I love pom poms :3)

You could use three strands of Red Heart Team Spirit Yarn!

Sc- single crochet

Sl st – slip stitch

Notes

Rnd 2 – Ch 1, hdc in same st. 2 hdc in each st around (16 hdc)

Rnd 3 – Ch 1, 2 hdc in next st. *hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st* repeat from * to * 7x (24 hdc)

Rnd 4 – Ch 1, hdc in next st. *2 hdc in next st, hdc in next 2 st*. Repeat * to * 7x. 2 hdc in last st. (32 hdc)

Rnd 6 –  Ch 1, hdc in each st around. (40 hdc)

Rnds 7-11 –  repeat rnd 6.

Rnd 12 – Ch 1, sc in back loop only all the way around (40 sc).

Rns 13-14 –  repeat rnd 12. Fasten off and weave in ends.

And there you have it! I told you it was super easy! You can also have one color and still use the three strands to make a nice thick beanie.

I recently purchased this pom pom maker and used the biggest one to make the pom pom on the Broncos beanie (pictured at the top). I made the Chargers and Panthers beanies (pictured below) before I got the pom pom maker and just did those by hand, they still turned out great!

Happy crocheting!
