Kerry Earwarmer Wrap

My good friend Whitney gave me an earwarmer and wanted to see if I could figure out a crochet pattern for it. The original one looks knitted, but after messing around with chains and shape I came up with a crochet version! Whitney’sย mother wears it all the time during her various outdoor activities, and has worn it for years. The Kerry Earwarmer Wrap is named after her. ๐Ÿ™‚ <3

You can buy the ad-free PDF version for just $1 here! It helps keep patterns free in the future, plus you’ve got a printable you can scribble on if you want ๐Ÿ™‚

Materials

Bulky weight (#6) yarn (I used Bernat Blanket for the test one, Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick for the red one and Lion Brand Hometown USA for the gray/pink one)

N hook (10mm)

Stitch marker (optional)

Embroidery scissors

Finishing needle

Button

Terms (US)

Ch – chain

St – stitch

Rnd – round

Sc- single crochet

Sl st – slip stitch

Notes

Estimate the size of the earwarmer after round 7 by placing it on your head. While this pattern doesn’t have a gauge, you can make it bigger or smaller by changing hook size. Do not, however, change the yarn weight, that’s what makes this earwarmer so cozy ๐Ÿ™‚

You can also add more than one button to make it adjustable.
