Pattern Review: On Point Poncho

Ashlea over at Heart Hook Home recently published this poncho pattern, and I’m absolutely in love with it! It’s so easy to work up, and it’s almost a mindless pattern. If you use a stitch marker where indicated it’s super easy! I think I made this poncho in about three days in between working?

This pattern comes in a variety of sizes, and the child sizes are free on Heart Hook Home! It’s highly customizable too. You can lengthen the torso, the sleeves (or omit the sleeves), add fringe or not… the possibilities are endless!

I used Lion Brand Mandala in Warlock for this poncho.

Instead of using fringe at the bottom of my poncho, I decided to to a picot stitch border (sc in 4 or 5 stitches, ch 3, sl st in same st as the last sc, sc in next 4 or 5 sts). I wanted to make sure the points lined up with the two points of the poncho, which is why I fibbed the number of stitches in between the picots.
